Danny:

Have you ever wanted to wander through an ancient temple where tree roots wrap around stone and the air feels like a whisper and time seems to stand still? Well, you can with your imagination. I'm Danny Clark and this is Minute to Meditate, a podcast where we take a deep breath, explore amazing UNESCO World Heritage sites and find a little peace along the way. Today we're traveling to Angkor Wat, deep in the forest of Cambodia. This breathtaking temple complex was built hundreds of years ago, with towers that reach for the sky and carvings that tell stories of gods and stars, and if you move slowly enough, you might just hear the temple breathe. So hang around and after this meditation, we'll learn more about the magic of Angkor Wat.

Natasha:

Welcome back travelers. Are you ready to visit a place where stone glows in the morning light, Trees whisper secrets and the past feels close enough to touch? Well, let's find a quiet place to sit or lie down. Let's wiggle your toes like raindrops falling on to leaves and stretch your arms like branches reaching towards the sun. Now gently close your eyes, take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. Let your breath in and slowly let it out. Let your breath become soft and smooth.

Natasha:

Let your body grow still like an ancient statue hidden in the trees. We're going somewhere quiet, sacred and full of wonder. This is Angkor Wat. Imagine stepping onto a stone path just as the sun begins to rise. The sky is pale like a soft watercolor. The world is quiet. Mist floats over the ground like a slow-moving dream. Mist floats over the ground like a slow-moving dream. You hear the gentle chirp of early birds waking in the forest Ahead, the towers of Angkor Wat rise slowly through the haze, tall and peaceful like mountains made of time.

Natasha:

As you walk, you pass lotus ponds, where pink blossoms open with the morning light. The water is still reflecting the temple, as if the sky and the earth are holding hands. You keep walking, your footsteps are quiet and even the wind seems to tiptoe here. Now you're inside the temple walls. Stone carvings cover every surface, stories of dancers, warriors, stars and spirits all frozen in time. The walls are cooled beneath your fingers. The air smells like moss, stone and morning rain. Light streams through tall windows, casting long golden shapes on the floor. Dust floats in the air like tiny fireflies made of sun, like tiny fireflies made of sun.

Natasha:

You find a quiet corner of the temple where a tree has grown up through the stone. Its roots curl around the walls like arms in a gentle hug. You sit down on the cool stone floor. The air around you is silent. You can almost feel the heartbeat of the temple. You feel your own breath joining the rhythm. You breathe in and you gently breathe out. You let yourself rest in this moment held by ancient stone and soft morning light. Life. You sit in silence and the temple is already telling you a story, one without words, just stillness, warmth and breath. Take a moment here to take a breath in and slowly let it out. Now it's time to return. Let the temple gently fade like a dream at sunrise, let the trees and towers slip into the mist, wiggle your fingers, stretch out your arms and, when you're ready, gently open your eyes. You did it. You just wandered through Angkor Wat with nothing but your breath and your imagination. And when life feels loud, you can always return to this quiet, sacred place.

Danny:
